Living Center

Caribou Memorial Living Center overlooks literally miles of beautiful scenery - mountains in the background, the Bear River flowing into the scenic Alexander Reservoir, all surrounded by spectacular marshes filled with wildlife. The setting is appropriate for a Living Center that focuses on life and living.

The Living Center's 37 bed facility offers 24 hour licensed skilled and intermediate care nursing services and loving, personal attention - accented by an exceptional activities program. The recreation therapy specialist schedules a wide variety of activities designed to promote involvement, continued growth, and most of all, meaningful social interaction.

The series of activities, the social interaction, the involvement of the community through the activities promoted by the Hospital Auxiliary, provide a setting characterized by life and liveliness. To really experience the flavor of the "Living Center" one has only to visit the center on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m., when a small army of "pink ladies," members of the Caribou Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, arrive at the Living Center to share a gift of love.

They sing with the patrons of the center, they provide music and the activities director even provides and opportunity for some dancing. This in just one of a "cornucopia" of activities that brings life to the Living Center.

The Living Center is part of the Hospital complex and thus has immediate access to all Hospital services - 24 hour emergency care, diagnostic imaging services, laboratory services, physical therapy services, dietary services, etc.
